Policy Forum 5: Implementation and Delivery Summary Posted on April 7, 2017June 28, 2021 by Irish Planning Institute Policy Forum 5 on “Implementation and Delivery” of the Irish Planning Institute’s “Reimagining the Planning System: A New Planning Agenda” series took place on Tuesday 28th February 2017 in the Hilton Garden Inn Custom House. The forum began with perspectives from invited speakers Ray Ryan, Damian Thomas, Charles Stanley-Smith and Sonja Reidy. IPI President Deirdre Fallon chaired the forum and opened it by outlining the context for the series and reminding attendees that Chatham House rules apply. The key discussion points and feedback from attendees is presented below, these are not necessarily those of the IPI nor are they intended to reflect current IPI policy. Discussions from the five forums in the series, in addition to those from a workshop on Planning and Built Heritage held in November 2016, the IPI position papers published in April 2016 and other consultations, will form the basis of an IPI policy paper on “Reimagining the Planning System: A New Planning Agenda” which will be completed in 2017.
