Junior Planner – Fingleton White

Fingleton White provide multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry. We provide a full range of design, construction and commissioning services and are active across many sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. The Role….
Planner – REF: 2515
Fingleton White are seeking a Planner to work with Fingleton White’s project delivery teams across all areas of our business.
Some of the responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Co-ordination with project teams to determine legislative requirements for new projects such as requirements for Planning, Fire Safety Certificate, Disability Access Certificate, consents, BCAR etc.
  • Environmental screening and co-ordination of further inputs such as engineers reports and 3rd party assessments.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Obtaining consents
  • Planning process including pre-planning, application, response to RFIs and addressing any objections or appeals.
  • Management of FW processes, templates, and training within the area of legislative compliance

The successful applicant will receive, in parallel to project work, guidance & training to familiarise them with our company’s approach to Legislative Compliance. The location for this role will be in our Galway office, however we will also consider applications for our Portlaoise office

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Planning, Development and Environment &/or commensurate industry experience with an alternative qualification.
  • Other relevant qualifications pertaining to our company’s field of work would also be considered in selection.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
