Representing over 1,000 planners across the public and private sector, members of the Irish Planning Institute work across Local Authorities, Academia, An Coimisiún Pleanála, Central Government, Regional Assemblies, in Private Practice as Consultants for large Developers and for semi state organisations. Membership provides an opportunity to learn, share and collaborate with other planning professionals and is recognition of your professional qualifications and experience in the employment market. 

Please note that the Institute is no longer accepting membership applications for the 2025 calendar year as we introduce new membership criteria. Membership applications will reopen in January 2026.
