In December 2025 the Government published the Accelerating Infrastructure – Report and Action Plan to help drive the efficient delivery of infrastructure across Ireland. The report was produced by DPER with expert input from the Accelerating Infrastructure Taskforce, chaired by Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation Jack Chambers TD.

A number of the Report and Action Plan’s 30 actions are directly relevant to the planning system.

Programme

At this CPD webinar on 28 January Ken Cleary, Principal Officer, Accelerating Infrastructure in the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform will present on the Report and Action Plan and the proposals for its implementation.

The presentation will be followed by a response from Mary Hughes MIPI, Director HRA Planning and an independent member of the Taskforce on Accelerating Infrastructure which will now oversee the implementation of the Action Plan.

This will be followed by Q&A.
