Biographical Info

Bernard Dee is the Principal of Dexter Planning Consultants, a planner qualified in the areas of town planning, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), architectural conservation and project management, with over 30 years experience in the public, private and semi-state sectors.  It is this mix of experience across the planning spectrum that gives Bernard the ability to work on a wide range of projects of differing scales, typologies and complexities. Bernard has previously worked as a Senior Inspector in An Bord Pleanála, Director of GVA Planning, Senior Planner in ESB International, Head of Planning for the North Runway Project for daa, Senior Planner in EirGrid and Senior Planner in Mott Macdonald Engineering. Bernard’s expertise covers a wide range of project types from strategic planning advice/critical review of large scale infrastructure projects to lodgement of planning applications, making appeals, Development Plan submissions and expert witness role. Bernard operates as a sole trader and partners with other specialists on a project to project basis to suit the specific requirements of each project.
