SLR has a large and successful Planning and EIA team that works across a variety of business areas, throughout Ireland, GB and with the international business. We are looking to further expand the team with the appointment of an experienced Senior EIA Planner in Ireland to join us at Associate grade and support our expanding services in the renewable energy and low carbon sectors.

The successful candidate will take a key role in the delivery of a variety of projects including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, green hydrogen together with work in other business sectors.

About you

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in developing and managing key client relationships as well as excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.  You will be experienced in renewables projects and be able to demonstrate track record in delivering consents for complex consenting projects.

  • Planning or EIA-related degree and either holding professional qualification working towards membership
  • Experience in delivering projects within deadline and budget constraints
  • Working knowledge of the Irish Planning system and EIA Regulations
  • Good report writing with an understanding of EIA methodologies and experience of reviewing related reports
  • Ability to manage a team of internal or external consultants
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

The role

The position will involve the delivery of a variety of renewable energy projects in Ireland and supported by an established team and a strong renewables focussed business working across the European region.

You will manage, or direct, a range of EIA projects and planning applications taking them from initial inception through to consent and discharge of planning conditions.  This will involve business development and coordination of a range of in-house and external technical specialists together with taking the lead on the preparation of a range of high quality technical reports.

You will have the opportunity to work within an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting challenges with one of the leading environmental consultancies in Ireland and GB and will have the opportunity to work with the SLR offices around this region.
