*Student membership is free for the duration of your accredited course, based on the graduation date provided in your application. Membership will end in the year of your graduation, and you will need to apply for Graduate Membership. Please note that Student Membership does NOT automatically convert to Graduate Membership – you must submit a separate application.
At its meeting of 30 November 2023 and ahead of the 50th anniversary of the Institute in 2025, Council agreed that from 1 January 2024 the subscription fees of members aged 75 and over will be waived each year. Please contact the IPI directly if you are over the age of 75 and wish to avail of this.
Membership fees can be paid directly by you or by your employer, with a range of convenient options available; directly through our website, via EFT, cheque, or call our office to make payment over the phone.
Upon acceptance of membership, a pro-rata subscription fee will be charged for those joining later in the year.
Certain categories of applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of €50 at the time you submit your application form. The application fee covers the cost of processing and evaluating your application. If your application is successful, the €50 application fee will be deducted from your first membership subscription invoice, which will be issued once your membership has been approved.

Application fee payments must be made at the same time as application submission.
