Expressions of Interest: IPI Board Co-option Posted on November 6, 2026November 6, 2026 by Seán O'Leary Interested in Joining the IPI Board? The Irish Planning Institute is inviting expressions of interest from Registered Members and Fellows who would be interested in being co-opted to the IPI Board. Four elected Director positions become vacant this December. Two candidates have been nominated and, as the number of candidates did not exceed the available positions, no election was required. This provides an opportunity for two additional members to join the Board through co-option, and the Board is now inviting expressions of interest from members who would like to contribute to the governance and future development of the Institute. The Board is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the Institute, with Directors contributing directly to the development of the IPI and the planning profession. Under our Bye-Laws, the Nominations Committee oversees the filling of positions on the Board. It also considers the mix of skills and experience required to best serve the Board in light of the Institute’s priorities. Expressions of Interest Registered Members and Fellows interested in being considered for co-option are invited to submit a short expression of interest setting out their reasons for wishing to serve on the Board. Closing date: 5pm on Friday, 20 November 2026 Expressions of interest should be submitted by email to [email protected].
