We provide a wide range of planning consultancy and development services to our clients, specializing in the preparation, coordination and lodgment of planning applications, and providing planning advice from inception right through to compliance stage on-site. We have extensive experience working as part of and leading design teams for multi-disciplinary, design projects.Armstrong Fenton Associates (AFA) wish to expand our town planning team due to the increasing demand for our company’s services. We are now looking for highly-motivated, ambitious individuals to fill number of posts:Assistant Planner: 2 – 4 years’ experienceExecutive Planner: min. 5 years’ experienceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Support senior staff on a range of projects, using initiative in doing so.Collate, analyse and interpret a range of socio-economic, demographic, policy and related material.Regularly be required to solve problems and develop innovative solutions.Attend meetings with clients / planning authorities and other stakeholders as a representative of AFA and to liaise directly with other professionals pursuant to effective management and conduct of projects.Coordinate and manage projects including:preparing and submitting planning applications,preparing planning appeals,site appraisals,planning policy reviews,analysis and research related to Plan or policy preparation,co-ordination of environmental assessments.About You:The candidate must possess a recognised qualification in Town Planning (IPI and/or RTPI Accredited), and be highly motivated, organised and be expected to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.Have the satisfactory experience in town planning, after attaining the qualification.Experience of liaising with clients and providing advice on planning matters.Technically proficient.Excellent working knowledge of planning, development and environmental issues.Ability to conduct independent research and analyse and interpret results; ability to prepare reports and formulate recommendations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Excellent report writing and oral communication skills necessary.Be well organised with meticulous attention to detail while also being able to manage a varied and full workload.Demonstrate the enthusiasm and initiative to be a well-rounded town planner, with a willingness to learn.The candidates should thrive in a busy work environment and on delivering to required project deadlines.The successful candidates can expect a stimulating, friendly and varied working environment through a wide variety of town planning and environmental inputs, both as part of a team and on their own initiative, and the opportunity to progress their careers.Salary and benefits are commensurate with candidates’ experience and ability.Please email application, including C.V. and statement explaining suitability for the post sought to tracy@armstrongfenton.com or post to:“Planner Positions”, Armstrong Fenton Associates, 13 The Seapoint Building, 44-45 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, D03 A0H3.
