We are growing! Our Planning & Place Team has opportunities for a Graduate, Planner and Senior Planner in our Dublin Office. Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Diligent and timely research and analysis;
  • The provision of advice on the planning potential of land and property;
  • The provision of advice that assists in the formulation of development proposals which meet Client requirements;
  • The provision of advice that assesses and weighs the opportunities and risks presented by the the planning system;
  • The provision of advice on strategies and programmes for managing local plan and planning application processes, and for undertaking appropriate and proportionate action required to address material planning considerations.
  • The assembly and management of consultant teams;
  • The preparation and submission of planning applications;
  • The preparation and submission of representations responding to development plan and similar consultations;
  • The preparation of Reports, Briefing Notes, hearing Statements, Instructions to Counsel, Proofs of Evidence etc;
  • Diligent and sensitive liaison with local planning authorities and stakeholders;
  • Regular and frequent reporting to the Client;
  • The undertaking of negotiations on behalf of the Client enabling achievement of optimum outcomes;
  • Adherence to agreed programmes for the delivery of project outputs and advice;
  • Regular and frequent assessment of risks which might impact upon meeting Client objectives; and
  • A business-like approach to invoicing and debt management.
  • Assisting with the training, coaching and mentoring of more junior members of the team.
  • Assisting with the implementation of the Team’s Business Plan (i.e. helping grow the business through a variety of practice development activities, including preparing fee proposals and tenders).

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

With the Planner and Senior Planner roles, experience of working in a public or private planning context is essential. We welcome members of the IPI or RTPI and a planning related degree is required.
