Graduate and Assistant Town Planners

RMLA is a Dublin based Planning Consultancy, specialising in strategic planning, masterplanning, planning applications and environmental assessment. We work on projects of all sizes for private clients spanning the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors and offer specialist consultancy services to public clients in the areas of strategic spatial and economic planning, masterplans, statutory consents and public consultation.

We have opportunities for Graduate and Assistant Town Planners. Our ideal candidates will:

  • Have between 1 -3 years relevant post-graduate experience in urban planning.
  • Demonstrated professional experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Have good working knowledge of Irish planning regulations, legislation and procedures.
  • Hold a recognised qualification in Planning.
  • Be a member of the IPI and/or RTPI.
  • Have strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Be commercially minded.
  • Be passionate about producing insightful advice and innovative solutions.

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the management of planning applications and co-ordinating with relevant state and local authorities, clients, co-consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Preparation of reports including due diligence reports, site assessments and planning application reports.
  • Review of statutory plans and interpretation of legislation.
  • Preparation of strategic planning studies, masterplans and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and bespoke studies such as retail assessments and strategies, built form analysis and research reports.
  • The provision of planning and development advice to clients.
