An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Enforcement Manager Planning.

The position of Enforcement Manager Planning is pivotal in the City Council.  It plays a vital role in the orderly development of the City. The post holder will lead and manage a team assigned to these respective duties and will have specific delegatory responsibilities and functions. They will form part of the Department’s Senior Management Team.

The main objectives of the Planning Enforcement Section are:

  • ensuring that developments are carried out in compliance with the planning permission granted;
  • taking appropriate enforcement action in cases where a development (including a material change of use) has been or is being carried out without permission or in breach of permission granted;
  • ensuring the completion of housing developments to a satisfactory standard with regard to, drainage, roads, footpaths, open spaces, etc;
  • licencing of and the coordination of compliance relating to outdoor events.
