Currently working sites throughout the country, they are developing quality residential housing to implement new ways of living for today’s buyer.As part of their growth strategy, they now wish to recruit a Senior Planners to join their in-house Planning team. Reporting to the Head of Planning and Commercial, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of residential projects.Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities associated with the role will include:Lead / assist as part of the Planning and Construction team on residential planning projects of medium and large scale from inception to completion.Provide clear input to the wider design team from inception through to completion.Take ownership and control of projects.Drafting and reviewing of planning documentation to a very high standard.Project management of budgets, appointments, external outputs from design team members.Undertaking background research, desk studies, field visits and preparing planning assessments, reports and project planning inputs.Assessment of planning risks associated with projectsEngaging with relevant authorities and stakeholders in planning projects; andLiaise with County Councils, An Bord Pleanála and other statutory bodies as required.Actively participates in business development activities and be responsible for promoting projects on LinkedIn and Company Website; andWork as part of the team to deliver project requirements at pre-planning and post planning stages.The successful candidate would be expected to have:A qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI Accredited).Have 3 to 5 years’+ relevant post graduate experience in a residential construction environmentHave a good understanding and knowledge of Irish Planning legislation and regulations and be up to date on changes to legislation and practices.Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with others.Good IT skills, strong administration and organisational skills and pay excellent attention to detail.Proven organisational skills, delivering in advance of critical dates and ensuring adherence to deadlines.A full clean driving licence is also essential.Contact: Carole Stuart carole.stuart@rfc.ie or Robert Ferry robert.ferry@rfc.ie
